The Maine Avenue Fish Market is something to see. We’ve been hearing about it for some time now and finally got to check it out last weekend. It seems like the go to place for a good deal on fresh seafood.
There’s so much happening there. Besides fresh fish and things for sale, a few vendors also have cooked food. We tried the fried shrimp with a side of hush puppies. Teri had potato salad, which I passed on. She’s brave. I obviously can’t vouch for the potato salad, but everything else was delish. I highly recommend taking a trip if you’re in the D.C. area. Reminds me of the cultural experience I had a few years back at the wharfs of Essaouira.
